Well-seasoned or kiln-dried logs feel noticeably lighter than green wood, sound hollow when knocked together, and often show splits or cracks in the end grain. If you're not sure, a moisture meter is the most reliable way to check - logs below around 20% moisture light more easily, burn hotter and produce less smoke and tar than damp or unseasoned wood.
Is there a minimum order for log delivery?
There's no fixed published minimum, but a very small order may not justify a dedicated delivery run on its own. Mention the quantity you're after when you call and we'll tell you whether it works as a standalone delivery or is better paired with your next order.
Can I collect logs myself instead of having them delivered?
